WHEREAS, in recognition of the mutual terms and conditions set forth herein, it is hereby agreed to as follows:

    1. Commencement. This Agreement shall commence upon the earlier of the first date on which Tutor Corps performed services or the date set forth next to the signatures of the Parties, or such other effective date as agreed to by the parties. 2. Term. This Agreement shall continue in force between the Parties until the end of the school year, unless sooner terminated pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. Upon the termination of the initial term, this Agreement will automatically renew on a monthly basis. At any time, Parent may discontinue tutoring services, without penalty, provided that all payment for services rendered to-date has been received.
    3. Services to be Performed.
      1. Scope of Tutoring. Tutor Corps shall provide education services in a variety of content areas and in learning-related skills such as study strategies, organization, motivation, and confidence. The Scope of Tutoring may be amended from time to time as agreed upon by the Parties.

  3. Consideration. The rate for each session type is listed below in the rate schedule table. These rates include all travel time, basic preparation (e.g., 10 minutes per session) and initial telephone and e-mail communication with parents.

Extensions to in-person tutoring and phone or online tutoring (live conversation between tutor and student) are billed in 1/4 session increments. Any phone tutoring session between the Student and Tutor that is less than 10 minutes is complimentary.

E-mails between tutors and parents are always complimentary. Phone calls between parents and tutors or parents and Tutor Corps staff that are less than 1/2 session (30 minutes) are complimentary. Phone calls greater than 1/2 session (30 minutes) will be billed at Direct Instruction Rates.

From time to time parents may request that tutors or Tutor Corps staff meet with teachers, school administrators or other support personnel. These meetings may occur either in-person, on the phone, or online. Parents will be invoiced Direct Instruction Rate for Tutors and Case Management Rates for Tutor Corps Staff based on the length of the meeting (meeting lengths are billed in 1/4 session increments). Parents may wish to fill out a Tutor Service Authorization Form to authorize additional services by visiting:

Parents may be invoiced for services authorized in this contract even if they have not filled out the Tutor Service Authorization form. The Tutor Service Authorization form is simply a convenient tool designed to increase communication between parents, tutors and Tutor Corps staff.

Parents may also request tutors to spend extra time grading material, designing assessments or building specialized curriculum. These types of activities are considered additional “Prep” and are billed at “Prep Rate” (Current Prep Rate is $62.50 or 1/2 of Direct Instruction Rate).

    2. Customized Tutoring Programs. Special arrangements will be made with Parent(s) engaging Tutor Corps in the provision of semester-long course work, home schooling programs or other customized tutoring programs that necessitate additional and/or ongoing preparation, evaluation and communication with outside parties including but not limited to teachers, school administrators, psychological/educational evaluators, psychiatrists, learning and behavioral specialists and other professionals.
