SAT II Guide
Whereas the SAT is designed to assess deductive reasoning, the SAT II Subject Tests are designed to measure subject mastery in areas such as English, math, science, history and languages. Though some colleges require specific SAT II tests (please contact the colleges to which your child is applying), SAT II tests are not a substitute for the SAT or the ACT. Each Subject Test, with the exception of the Writing Test, lasts one hour and consists of multiple-choice questions. The Writing Test has a 20-minute essay section in addition to a 40-minute multiple-choice section.
Below are the 2011 - 2012 test dates and registration deadlines, as well as our recommended tutoring session start dates.
