FAQ for Tutor Applicants

Do you have a passion for education and the ability to help students understand not only what to learn but also how to learn? If so, we encourage you to apply to work for Tutor Corps.

Tutor Corps is always looking to hire dynamic and flexible educators. Currently, we are seeking tutors that can:

• Work in the Peninsula, South Bay, San Francisco, East Bay and Marin County
• Have K-12 subject expertise, specifically high school level math and science
• Have experience teaching standardized test preparation and assisting with the college application process

 All Tutor Corps tutors must have a B.A./B.S. degree from a reputable university, possess the ability to build rapport with students, have at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience and be committed to providing high quality educational services to students. Ideal candidates possess an advanced degree and/or teaching credential and have experience tutoring students with learning challenges (ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, etc.).
