Tutor Corps Foundation
Tutor Corps strives to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities. To advance this goal, we have established Tutor Corps Foundation. The Foundation matches dedicated tutors with middle and high school students in under-served communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our founding board members, Jesse and Noel Rosencranz-Engelmann, recognized the opportunity for additional educational services to meet the needs of under-resourced students throughout our community. What began as a volunteer program has become a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one and small group tutoring, scholarships for student projects that proactively address community-wide issues, and training programs that provide educational expertise to other nonprofits.
To donate to the Foundation or for more information, contact us at (415) 990-1322, ext. 8; email grants@tutorcorpsfoundation.org; or visit the Foundation website.

Spotlight on Past Winners - Winter 2009
Congratulations to Sonya Shadan of San Francisco University High School for being awarded the Susan Lindquist scholarship! Sonya's program, Lessons for Life, promotes musicianship at schools that lack music programs. Through the recruitment of volunteer instructors and the provision of instruments and music books, Lessons for Life gives San Francisco Day School students the opportunity to develop their musical abilities.Spotlight on Past Winners - Spring 2009
Sanjay and Vikram Padval of Menlo School worked with faculty at their school and leaders at the Boys and Girls Club of East Palo Alto to establish the East Palo Alto Soccer Academy, an afterschool soccer program for K-3 students in East Palo Alto. Their program taught students not only soccer skills, but also life skills such as the importance of teamwork and the value of education.
